When it comes to offering the same products and brands as competitors it’s important to be found first and offer exceptional prices. In most cases the customer may not determine what product model they want on your site but once they figure out which one meets their needs they will compare prices using the model number. Because of this our focus was on multi-channel marketing and long tail product search queries, at least for the beginning. Since we are using the product descriptions provided to us from the manufacturer, the product pages are driven from iframes to prevent a duplicate content penalty from the search engines. The ability to cross sell was also important because many of the stopwatches come with optional printers and paper to record times.
