First and only weather station in its class to use frequency hopping spread spectrum radio technology to transmit weather data wirelessly up to 1000' (300 m).

Includes Vantage Pro2 console/receiver, integrated sensor suite (ISS), and mounting hardware. The ISS includes rain collector, temperature and humidity sensors, anemometer, 40' (12 m) anemometer cable, and solar panel. Temperature and humidity sensors are enclosed in our patented, solar-powered, 24-hour fan-aspirated radiation shield. Shield combines active and passive aspiration to minimize the effects of radiation.

I'll have to admit, I was a little thrown off by the price at first, but after looking around online found that HomeWeatherStations.com has one of the best prices. Other places were well over $700. The station itself is amazing. A few weeks after I bought we had a terrible storm and the station kept me up-to-date the whole time. The readings are completely accurate and I love that its all wireless. The rain collector is self-emptying which saves a lot of work and keeps the reading accurate. The station does averages for you and track moon phase, both of which I find interesting features. Even though this station is a bit expensive, its a great investment!
