The wireless weather station was easy to assemble. Somehow I exited the initial setup instructions and had problems. Make sure you follow the instructions step by step to avoid my mistake. We enjoy seeing how the weather is changing from day to day and the data we receive from the weather station. I would recommend the Davis Instruments 6152 Wireless Vantage Pro2 weather station to everyone.

I have been keeping weather records since July of 1990 and I just received the Davis Instruments #6152 last week. HomeWeatherStations.com promptness of shipping, packaging, instructions, and quality of the unit is exceptional. The weather station is mounted on the side of my work garage/office and is situated at the apex of the roof. The ISS is at a height of 15' and the anemometer at 19'. Signal strength is excellent and the screen readouts on the console are very user friendly. Overall, the 6152 is an excellent choice for the price.

I have been looking for a weather station for years. The Davis line of weather stations have always caught my eye but the price was out of my budget. Thanks for offering the Davis 6152 at such an affordable price.
The documentation for the station is well written. Each time I ran into a question, the instructions led me to the answer.
Every part of this station is quality and meant to last years. I placed my station at about 30 feet on a radio tower without any problems. The only issue I had with the station was with the back-lighting causing the inside temperature to read high. It is quickly corrected by turning off the backlight. The instructions mentioned this issue. I would be pleased if Davis finds a way to fix this. Otherwise, I am so pleased with the product.

We live on the Ocean and accurate weather information is really important to us. This is my 3rd weather station. I've gone through the Oregon Tec, and Honeywell. Both I thought were good. Between the two of them I spent as much as I would have for what I consider a semi professional unit. The ease of installation and operation was impressive. The unit is so much heavier duty and better engineered than the two mentioned above. I have no doubt that they will operate and last for several years to come. The information given from the monitor alone, gives me enough data that I right at the present feel I don't even need the additional computer link. I just wish I would have invested in this Davis unit several years ago. I'm sure my frustations from the previous imported manufactored units could have been avoided.

Waited anxiously for the unit to arrive and when it did I fretted over a week where to mount the unit to avoid house and tree interference. Finally, deciding where to put it, it took less than 30 minutes to prepare the unit for mounting outside. The instructions were very clear with good illustratiohs. Mounting hardware worked perfectly for me as I mounted both ISS and anemometer on a pole, though the anemometer was up in the air about 25 feet. I will still have to see if the house blocks too much wind even though it is about 75 feet away from it. If this happens then I will probably have to opt to get the wireless attachment for the anemometer and mount it up high on our TV antenna. I wanted the keep the ISS down near the ground and out in the open and this is not possible if I mounted the cabled anemometer on the antenna. Otherwise, it took about an hour to get my poles together, mount the ISS and anemomete unit and secure everything. Came in and looked at the data and all was well!! Right now I am very happy and hope to have many years of happy weather watching.

Have been using the unit for several weeks now. Very easy set up and very accurate readings. Home Weather price was the best I could find. I went with the wireless for all the above reasons. It has a good signal and with the solar charging unit I won't need to change batteries very often on the transmitter. I like how easy it is to view the daily and monthly high/lows. Rain gauge has been right on compared to my rain gauges. Good unit and good price!

This is a very nice unit. A god set of features, and a good price. I have this setup about 600 yards from out house, and the receiver is in the room farthest from the sender. So it goes through a lot of walls. And it gets great reception.

The quality out-of-the-box is very nice. I do hope it stays that way.

I wish the computer interface was included with the unit. I'd think a good deal of people purchasing this unit would want that.

When you're tired of playing around with the 40 and $50 toys this is the one to get. I have it mounted on the roof peak (non-electrical side of course). The temperature, humidity is very accurate even on sunny days. The rain and wind direction is also very accurate. The wind speed reads a little slow but that's probably because I'm around a lot of trees.

If you're going to spend this kind of money, I strongly recommend getting the wireless version. I run the receiving unit on battery making it convenient to move around the house. I live in an area with high RF radiation. The cheaper wireless units never did work unless the transmitter was literally inches away from the receiver. This one has no problem receiving the signal anywhere in the house. I even walked around the block and had no problems.

The setup was easy and the instructions very clear. I found water inside the electronics case after about a week when investigating spurious rain results but that was clearly my fault for not fitting the lid properly--once placed correctly it was obviously well seated and sealed. The construction seems durable. At this price, it's an investment for the hobbyist, but I'm collecting data to asses the value of installing a wind generator and in that context I feel it is money well spent. The barometer did not need calibration and the cloud base data (more info than I actually need) is surprisingly good.

I've had this for about six weeks now and I am really enjoying it. Set up was so easy, and I am not a techno expert. It's a little expensive but I feel the quality is well worth it (made in USA!). HomeWeatherStations.com has a very competitive price and I received my station quickly. The wireless and solar aspects sold me too as I have it mounted on my deck and hate the idea of a cable running through my house. It has proven to be very accurate with other readings not far away. Overall, I have been very satisfied with my purchase.
