How to Lower Your Paypal Fee Rates Instantly and Save Money

If your site offers Paypal and you think you’re paying too much in discount rate fees then you probably are. They won’t let you know if your rates are too high so here’s how you see what you’re paying currently and instantly lower your future fees:
To find your current fee rate, please follow these directions:
1. Log in to your account at https://www.paypal.com/.
2. Click the “Fees” link in the footer of any page.
3. Click the link in the “Receive Funds” row in the Premier/Business
account column.In the middle of the “Receiving Fees” page, it will state what fee your
account is currently being assessed.Also, if you’ve been a PayPal member for more than 90 days and you
receive at least $3,000 USD in PayPal payments in the previous calendar
month, you are eligible to apply for our Merchant Rate through a
one-time application process. Once approved, your fees will be
automatically adjusted at the beginning of each calendar month based on
the volume you received in the previous calendar month.You must maintain the volume requirements to continue receiving our
Merchant Rate, however, you will not need to apply again if you fail to
meet the volume requirements in a given month, but should meet them
again in a subsequent month.To apply for the Merchant Rate:
1. Log in to your account at https://www.paypal.com/.
2. Select “Fees” at the bottom of the page.
3. In the “Premier/Business Account” column, click either of the
“1.9% to 2.9% + $0.30 USD” links.4. Scroll down to the “How is Eligibility of the Merchant Rates
determined?” question and click the “Merchant Rate Criteria” link.5. Click “apply now” at the bottom of the page.
6. Fill out the Merchant Rate application.
7. Check the box to indicate you have read and agree to the User
Agreement.8. Click “Submit.”
Please Note: No fee adjustments or refunds can be made for payments
received prior to being approved for the merchant rate.
