Automatically filters, drains and stores the oil so you can use it again and again and even tells you when it's time for an oil change. French fries, chicken nuggets, fish, zucchini and jalapeno poppers will pop out of the oil without a trace of sogginess or greasiness. Handy oil storage container. Once your oil has cooled, it filters and automatically drains into a re-sealable oil storage container.

I did my research on all fryers, I knew that I for sure wanted one with filter and oil drain. I got down to 2 fryers, wolfgang's and emeril's, I ended up choosing emeril's and I am glad that I did. I love it. Then it was about price I search and the best price was here at foodfryers. It fryers great, food is not greasy. I just turn the knob when I am done frying and when the oil has cooled enough it filters and drain itself into a storage container. It cleans up easy. Tells you when the oil needs to be changed. My last fryer was no way near what this one is. I would buy this one again when this one wares out. I can't find anything that I don't like. It's great, I love it and I would recommend it to friends and others.

I received this fryer for Christmas, have already used it twice. As of now it is an amazing deep fryer. I really enjoy how you can filter the oil and keep it separate, clean up is very simple. It's nice to know that I can drain the oil easily after every use and clean the rest of the fryer so the sediment doesn't get caked on over time. I would definitely recommend this to any one.

I just got my deep fryer for my birthday, and I dearly love it I've heard about it, and always wanted to try it. It make frying alot better than it was 10 years ago when you had to fry everything in a skillet. I tell everyone I talk too about my birthday present. The best ever.

It fries beautifully, and the oil is filtered so it is reusable - I like that a lot! It is just bulky on the counter, wish it could be more streamlined, compact.

My son has one and after watching him use it, I decided that I gotta have one too. Have made several batches of the Benguits that come on the recipe cards. Simple & delicious. My grandson eats them as quick as I make them. Also made chicken wings, thighs and mountains of french fries. You can't mess anything up as it works perfectly. When your finished simply flip the switch and go enjoy the meal. When the oil cools down it filters and drains automatically. What can be simpler? My fryer gets used about 3-4 times a week. I even tried deep fried Twix Candy bars. Not recommended! Nobody told me you have to roll it in batter first. I ended up with chocolate vegtable oil which wasn't all that bad but very messy transferring the Twix from the fryer to the garbage can... Buy one, you won't regret it.

The immersion heating element, all parts (except the heating element) are dishwasher safe, and the oil filtration system are the best features of this fryer. I filter the oil every time after use which is then stored in an air-tight plastic reservoir beneath the fryer. This keeps the oil very clean and prevents it from becoming "stale" longer than being constantly exposed to air. You just pull out the oil reservoir, unscrew the cap, and pour it back into the frying bin before use. It's expensive, but definitely worth the extra money.

We purchased this unit at the beginning of the year and are just learning the pro's and con's of how to deep fry. I would like a temperature indication so I would know what quantities I can cook and yet maintain proper temperature without having to use my infared digital thermometer. We'll keep track of those things that turn out great and look forward to this new appliance.
The main reason I bought this unit is because it will filter and store the oil until the next time we put it to work.

Love this fryer! My husband purchased another model with 2 baskets for me for Christmas, and the first time we used/cleaned it, the numbers wiped off and the housing fell apaprt. We exchanged that one for this one and are overly pleased with it. It's amazing the junk that it filters out when you drain it!

This is the best home fryer I have ever used. I own a restaurant and am very critical about the quality of home fryers. We have been through many. My kids love the home fries, onion rings, and chicken fingers I make for them. The food is not saturated with grease. I use the same top quality oil that I use at my restaurant and think it make s difference. Don't use cheap oil!! Easy to clean and not messy at all. Not too big, fits nicely on my counter. Get this fryer, you will not regret it!!

I found the basket to be on the shallow side and was extremely disappointed considering the LARGE size of the unit.

I filled the unit just BELOW the fill line and experienced oil seepage around the entire edge of the units lid.

I could not monitor my foods progress because the viewing window steamed almost instantly.

On a side note, if your planning on placing this on a countertop I hope your taller than 5' because you'll probably find yourself having a difficult time reaching the settings...which brings me to my last disappointing issue...steam burns! If you have to adjust the settings you have to reach over the steam vents...Youch!

It's ashame, I really liked the idea of the oil containment and almost everything being dishwasher safe :(

I bought this fryer because it seemed like the best value. I started frying chicken wings and mushrooms the first day. It was so easy to work. No assembly or crazy parts. It is stainless steel with the brushed finish which looks great. You have to make sure you fill in between min/max so when you filter it does not overflow. Other then that this is another great product from emerilware.

  • From Greg at 10/1/11 10:16 PM
    • Q: I have had this fryer for several years. It recently became necessary to replace the oil container and the heating unit. I checked heating function and found that the oil only reached 350 degrees even though it was set on 374 degrees. I tested it with 2 seperate thermometers. I never did test the old worn out heating unit.

Is this a problem inherent with this fryer or do I have a defective replacement heating unit? Has anyone else tested the oil temp of their fryers?

This is a food safety issue.
    • A: Hi Greg,

I have never heard of this issue. We encourage you to contact the manufacturer, or the place that you bought the fryer from
to see if they can offer you better information.

      Thank you!
