I purchased as a Christmas present for my husband. It is one of the best things he has gotten in a long time. He is always checking it and keeping up with the barometric pressure. The first day he got it and put it up it was in the mid 20's but the wind was blowing and the wind chill was in the low 10's and it snowed the day after Christmas (very unusual as we live in coastal NC). He's waiting for our next hurricane so he can check the alarm on the wind speeds. Great product.

Q: Hi,
I'm considering buying the professional Weather Station, and wondering if it is compatible with my Apple Macintosh computers.
A: Hey Lorianne,
I'm sorry but this unit is not compatible with Apple. The only weather stations that I know are compatible are the Davis Instruments stations with the Mac Weatherlink software. Have a great day!
Q: Can the three outdoor pieces be mounted directly to the top of your roof on your home? The specs on the monitor device state that it can be wall mounted, how is that to be attached? Could be set in a wooden frame on the wall?
A: Hello Peter,
In regards to the La Crosse Technology Professional Weather Center, we asked the manufacturer directly. No - the outside thermo/hydro sensor needs to be under the eve or someplace it will protected from being directly rained on. There are screws that come with the package so it can be attached to a house. The wind sensor ideally should be at least 4 feet above your roof line to avoid obstructions. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
