The weather station has many features usually available only on more expensive equipment. The price on this sight was the best that I found for this model.
This was a gift for my husband and he has enjoyed setting it up and checking history on computer, etc.

  • From C W Patterson at 12/6/10 4:42 AM
    • Q: This model WS-2810 appears to be a newer model / has solar component / has computer interface > when compared with the WS-1516U-IT. Is that true / explain the higher price & less discount?
    • A: The ws-1516u is one of our most popular units because it's been around the longest. and we are having a limited time sale on it The ws-2810 is our newest unit from La Crosse, thus the higher introductory price. I hope this answers your questions.

  • From Doug at 2/19/11 12:44 PM
    • Q: One of the most interesting times to monitor weather is when it is severe - which is also the most likely time that there will be a temporary loss of power to the PC. Is there any buffer or storage capability to recover any data during power loss?
    • A: This battery is operated for the display (the batteries in the thermo/hydro). If there is a lost of electricity, it will not effect this unit.
