I have a neuroma in my right foot, and I work in a tool warehouse walking for sometimes 11 hours a day. These are the only orthotics that seem to help. I made the mistake of trying another brand, and had to take them out in less than an hour.

When I first use them, I could immediately sense a significant weight distribution away from my metatarsal pads, which was a good thing. However, the arch supports did not align properly with my arches - the arch supports were located about a 1/2 inch behind my arches, which unfortunately made them very uncomfortable. Consequently, I had to returned them for a refund. I would have probably been better off if I could have tried them on in a retail outlet to see if they fit my particular foot properly, because otherwise they appear to be a great product.

After bunion surgery, i was experienccing alot of pain in the ball of my foot.
A podiatrist recommended shoe inserts at $300.00 a pair.
Thosee inserts eveentually started to fall apart.

My orthopedic surgeon recommended Lyco sport Inserts, which work just as well as the $300.00 dollar inserts, or even better.
They are lighter, and cover the entire inside of my shoe.
You will not see a Rolls Royce in my driveway, so spending less on a product that works better than a more expensive product, works for me.

I have two pair of custom made professional orthotics. I wanted a third pair to use working around water so I wouldn't get my expensive orthotics wet. My podiatrist suggested that I try a ready made sole insert. My shoe repair store has a machine that measures you feet and determines the pressure points on your feet. The machine recommends which orthotic to use. I bought a pair and showed them to my podiatrist and he said that they should work just fine. I have bought two more pair from you at a reduced price to put in other shoes. I can not tell the difference between the very expensive custom made orthotics and my Lyncos. I now have enough inserts that I don't have it move them between shoes.

I carry mail, walk 6-9 miles a day, and I can wear a set of these for a good six months. I greatly prefer them over my hard prescription orthotics, which tear up shoe linings at the heel. I buy a pair of these whenever I buy a new pair of Merrill boots. Before I found these and my Merrills, I suffered from plantar fasciitis after twenty years of mail carrying on postal-issue shoes. Absolutely no pain since I switched. It's night and day.

I was worried at first because they were a little uncomfortable. This was the first time I had tried these as I usually wear the 400. However, after a few wears I really like them as I got used to them. They seemed to help my plantar fasciatis a great deal. Good price.

I was turned on to this product at Eneslow Foot Comfort Center in Manhattan and I fell in love with them. Since I no longer live in NYC, when the ones I had became threadbare and I wanted to replace them, I decided to buy them online. These were exactly the same product at half the price. I wish I had bought a case!

I started wearing Lynco Sport's orthotics two years ago.
I used to be a runner and had several foot injuries without adequate support. Since wearing these particular orthotics I can put them into any running shoe and I haven't had any injuries in the past two years. I bought a pair for my Dad who lives overseas and he recently asked me to bring him another pair. I cannot reccommend them highly enough. An added bonus was finding them on this web-site, I got two pairs for the price of one pair at an outlet Mall. Thank you!

I have been wearing these for a few years. My son now wears them and I am ordering a pair for my husband today. He is wearing mine which do not fit really well but has stopped his foot from hurting anyway. Would have a hard time without these wonderful inserts. At first I got them from the shoe store, then found them for a better price online. I had to search to find them but I did!! Thanks for a great product. I recommend you to everyone with hurting feet.

I've been wearing this insole for a year and a half. I started when I stood on a scale that measured the pressure points of my feet and found that I put too much weight onto the balls of my feet. This insert was designed to move the pressure across the whole foot evenly. It feels odd to stand in for the first time but after a day or two of walking in them, you quickly learn that it feels better to walk in this insole than to walk barefoot. I paid twice this much for my first three pairs of inserts and now that I've found this website, I won't pay that much again. I've been wearing my last pair of inserts for 9 months now and am about ready to get a new pair. They last a very long time for someone who is always on her feet. Thanks.

Being a Marine, I do a heavy-load (65 lbs) 15 mile hikes like eating hotcakes. I'm always in search of that magic sole to keep my feet from breaking down. I have Plantis Faciatis (bone spur in my arch), and my foot has become the most important part of my body during the past few years. I've tried at least 6+ top of the line soles, and I'll have to say that Lynco 405 is one of the better if not the best one I've tried. My 1stSgt might not believe me, but the Aetrex has done a great job developing a orthotic sole that really works. Semper Fi!

Questions on Lynco® L405 Sports Orthotics

Sort by Descending
  • From Ken Allen at 2/25/11 8:21 AM
    • Q: I am an ironman triathlete with high arches. I suffered with plantar fasciitis last season in my right foot and at the start of this season I have stress fractures in the same foot. I am hoping that sports orthotics will help.

I have two questions on sizing and two on use:

      Sizing

I wear a size men's 8.5 running shoe (normal width)

      1. Do I order a size 9 and cut it down?
      2. Does the orthotic replace the sock liner insert in the shoe or go on top of it?

      Use

      1. I have training and racing shoes and I rotate shoes that I run in. Do I need seperate pairs of orthotics for each of my running shoes?

      2. Would the same orthotic work in my regular walking/dress shoes?

      Thanks for you time.

    • A: Hey Ken,

      Thanks for the great questions!

      1. Yes, order a size 9 and cut it down if you need to.
      2. The orthotic can either go on top of the sock liner or replace it, this is just up to the users preference. I took mine out because it made my shoe too tight.

As far as the use goes, it's up to you. You can take the insole out easily and put it in any shoe but you will have to adjust it each time you put it in a new shoe. I would suggest getting one for each pair of shoes. They usually only last around 6-9 months so having 2 also gives you a backup.

      Have a great day!

    • Q: I have calluses on the balls of my feet that seem to be growing inward causing
pain. Will these orthotics address the pain in the balls of my feet? Also, if I wear
a size 7.5, would I order the size 7 to fit in my shoe?
    • A: Hello Anne,

Unfortunately I am not sure if these specific inserts would work for your calluses. It always best to check with your health care professional before purchasing. These products are usually best for stability, fallen arches and weight distribution throughout the foot. For half sizing, it is always best to go a size up and trim the insert down to fit in your shoe. Inserts have specific supports they have throughout that need to hit your foot in the right places in order to work effectively. I hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else we can do for you.

      Have a great day!

    • Q: I am in the restaurant business. I purchased the L405 for my work shoes. I needed something to support my high arch and the ball of my foot. I put them right in my shoes taking the old insole out first. I wore them for about 2 wks. feeling great. And all of a sudden, the ball of my foot started to hurt pretty bad. So I took them out. Is this because my foot is not used to it or is it just not for me? I got the 405 instead of the 400 because I thought it would support my ball of the foot better. Please advice?
    • A: Hi Sandra,

It sounds like you may be suffering from Plantar Fasciitis, however you should seek medical attention for
an accurate diagnosis. People will high arches are very suceptible to this disorder. We recommend trying the
L420 Sports Orthotic with a posted heel. These specifically help with weight distribution, and support. You can find this
product by clicking on the following link:

    • Q: Ive just been told I have bone spurs on the top of my right foot . Two bones turn into each other as I walk . I also have arthritis in the foot. Ive been told to get Lynco 405 by another user , is this correct? Thank You
    • A: HI Lynn,

The L405 is a great all around insert for many issues concerning the foot.. Since bone spurs are an elevated medical issue
I highly recommend checking with your doctor and seeing which version he/she recommends.
