    • Q: Sir:

I would like a wireless weather forecaster that would cover the area of Milton, Wisconsin (Zip 53563) specifically and not just Madison, Wisconsin and does not need an internet connection, wireless router connection, or sensors outside. I would like it to be about 4 days and have information on highs / lows, wind speed & direction, precipitation, and barometer at a minimum, and also run on batteries with an atomic clock if possible for date and time. Which units would you recommend that meet this criteria?

      Jack
    • A: Hi Jack,

We carry both Davis and La Crosse weather stations, here is a little information about each to help you make your choice:

      Our Davis experts advise:

WS-2810U-It. It does wind speed, direction, rain, barometric pressure. It does not give 4 days of weather forecast - only one day. Weather direct models are the only units that have multiple days of forecast.

      Our La Crosse experts advise:

      1. La Crosse Weather stations will cover up to 1,000 feet. Not a complete zip code.
      2. In order to receive outside information you have to have outside sensors.
      3. the information does not have to be put to a computer or Router (to read it)
      4. La Crosse Weather stations do run on batteries and solar but do not have an atomic clock.

Please let us know if we can help you with anything else!
