I bought these in a store last year and paid almost twice as much. I will buy from Shop Foot Care from now on! This shoe fits my foot and allows me to walk long distances. The shoe holds up well!

This is my 3rd pair of these shoes. The shoe comes in a wide size which I need to accommodate my orthotics after foot surgery for a neuroma. I hope they keep making them. Great walking shoe.

I am a nurse and overweight (obese) with 2 herniated discs. These shoes are better for me than the pricier SAS I used to buy. I do not experience low back pain like I would with other shoes. They are so comfortable! I walk on concrete floors all day and need the best shoe available. I have found nothing better than this one. Thank you Aetrex!

I bought these shoes after noticing that my Aetrex X521 had run over on the back heel. I can't complain though I've been wearing them everyday for over 1-1/2 years. I decided to get the X821 because it doesn't have the mesh and will be great for winter walking. I have found these shows to be true to size, long-wearing, and comfortable. The foot bed gives me the support I need. I love the fact that Aetrex makes women's shoes in 11 and 12, not many makers do. I don't understand why, there are women with big feet out here folks. I would highly recommend these shoes to anyone looking past the price to a well-made, long lasting shoe. Although a little pricey, you make up that price by not having to buy shoes every 4-6 months.

My feet have recently become "deformed" and after an arduous search, this particular shoe this particular style, is the ONLY shoe that I can put on my feet and lead a somewhat normal life. That is, walking at stores, doing housework, even playing golf! I am in tremendous pain most of the time and can tolerate these shoes, only.
Q: What are the pros & cons of an athletic walking shoe in all leather vs. mesh & leather. I need to stretch certain points on any shoe. Which type is easier or better for being stretched?
Q: Do these allow for those of us whose feet swell due to diabetic condition. I usually buy the men's shoe. Do these come in mens?
A: Hi Deanna,
This shoe does not specifically accommodate edema. We do sell diabetic shoes that help with this issue. Please visit the
